OOPS. I totally forgot to post this yesterday, had my nails all done in the morning and just totally lost it. Well here they are!
I'm not a huge fan of orange nails, but I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to use one of my new indie babies :)
I started with 2 coats of OPI Hot & Spicy on all nails except my ring & thumb. Then I painted one coat of Pretty & Polished Phoenix on top. So nice, right! It's so bright, It's a neat combination too. I can't wait to try this polish over some other colors.
On my ring finger & thumb nails I did a funky cloud design I saw on Nailside! You can see the tutorial on how to create this super awesome & easy design here. I started with 2 coats of China Glaze Make Some Noise, then i did the first layer of clouds with OPI Hot & Spicy. I did the last layer with Pretty & Polished Phoenix and love this way this looks!
It's almost like a gradient, in an unintended way. Phoenix makes the orange look almost neon. It was such a miserable day outside yesterday, but I feel like I had the sun with me on my nails!
I better go do today's yellow nails! I hope my idea turns out good!

Nail Art Challenge: Day Two. Orange!
Orange is definitely not my favorite nail color. I've got lots of pinky oranges and reddish oranges but not a lot of true oranges. This is an exception. The brightest neon you've ever seen. I think you could spot my nails from a mile away.
This is Color Club You Got Soul-ar. It's a bright neon orange with holo glitter suspended in the polish. It's from the Starry Temptress Collection.
I did a little accent nail with a white nail art pen from eBay, because accent nails are the funnest, right? I just drew little hearts with the pen. Cute, fun & summery.
It was hard to capture the true color of this one on camera, because it's so bright! It freaked out my camera when I used the flash.
Are any of you doing the challenge? Drop my a link to your blog!

Sunny Glitter!
It's official, I'm back on my glitter obsession. I bought some indie glitters, some Claire's glitters, and well, I wanted to use some of my old ones too. This combo makes for a perfect sunny summer mani.
This is OPI The It Color with Kleancolor Chunky Copper as a glitter topper. The It Color is the perfect yellow for me. I'm really pale and I have no yellow in my skin tone at all, so if I wear too much yellow or too bright yellows I look extra pink... and white. But this yellow is a perfect golden hue that I think would look good on anyone.
Here's a sunlight photo of this beautiful combo. Chunky Copper has a tiny bit of a tinted base, so it made this mani look even more golden. It has large, medium and tiny hexagonal glitters that are fairly easy to fish out of the bottle. The only downside is that it is so thick, as are all of my other Kleancolor glitters. This took at least an hour to dry. It's worth it in the end but make sure you go pee and make no plans before you start with any Kleancolor glitters.
Sorry this is a little out of focus, I didn't notice until now. This is in the shade. Shows how the glitter shines from orange to yellow in different lights. Doesn't it match with The It Color well? It was worth waiting for the dry time for sure to see these pretty glitters shine at me.
I love summer manis! Bright is the best!
