The polish I'm going to show you today is one I was VERY excited for. Pretty & Polished came out with a few polishes to add to their main line along with the Christmas collection, and as soon as I saw Mannequin Hands I had to have it.
Here are some swatches, along with my first impressions of the polish.
This is one coat of Mannequin Hands (Over my extremely uneven nails. Hello dry winter, thanks for breaking my nails!) It is a pinkish-nude jelly with baby pink hex glitters. I instantly thought of how darling this would be for a french manicure with a twist.
And this is 3 coats of Mannequin Hands. I think I prefer this as a sheer. The opacity kinda ruins the delicacy of the nude & pink. Or maybe It's because I'm not a huge fan of the color of the base at full opacity. I might try layering it over a more opaque nude as a topper.
Maybe if my nails weren't so stained from hair color It might've looked better, ha! Anyway, Mannequin Hands is a great polish for any nude or french manicure lover.
You can purchase Pretty & Polished on Etsy. Mannequin Hands is not currently in stock, but there are lots of other beautiful polishes in stock! Such as some of the Christmas collection! (swatches coming soon!)

Challenge Day 12: Striped Nails
This post is coming to you a little late at night, oops! I am not a morning person, so I'm always up late since I often work evenings.
Today's theme was stripes! I painted my nails before work today and just loved this mani. I have seen this simple design all over and wanted to give it a shot.
I love how long this made my nails look! The color combination is also so chic and fashionable that I looked at my nails all day long. This is something I would imagine you'd see on runway, since they are always doing effortless yet eye-catching designs.
This is 3 coats of Joe Fresh Ballet Slipper (I think that's what it's called, I'll edit this later if it isn't!) which is one of my favorite nudes because it's slightly lighter than my skin tone but still has pink undertones. One coat of this polish is perfect for french manicures on paler-skinned ladies.
The stripe was then done with a black 2-way nail art pen from ebay! Sweet, huh? I can't wait to try this with different color combinations.
Tomorrow's theme is animal print! Obviously I'll do my signature leopard print for that one, but let's see if I can spruce it up a bit!

Essence Color & Go's! Review and Swatch
Hi everyone! Today I have some awesome swatches of Essence's Color & Go line to show you!
They have come out with 18 new & trendy colors for their Fall/Winter collection.
They have a gel-like shine finish and a fast drying formula! (Best of both worlds, right?)
They also have a new bottle shape! Instead of the old 5ml bottle, they now come in 8ml bottles!
Let's get started with these swatches.
This is Essence Stuck On You. It's a blue-grey creme with a hidden shimmer. It is absolutely gorgeous and the favorite out of the 3 I got. It covered in 2 coats perfectly. It even shines somewhat purple in different lights! A dark grey blurple. Hard to find something like that!
This is 3 coats of Essence Ultimate Pink. It really, truly is the Ultimate Pink. Ultimate Barbie pink, that is. It is a hot pink creme that dries with a crazy shine. It went on a little streaky, so I went with 3 coats to be safe. You could probably get away with 2 coats instead. This is very cute and girly, love it!
Oh, I loved this one. This is Essence Modern Romance. It is a peachy-nude creme with a pink shimmer (Couldn't get that shimmer to photograph! But it's there!) that shows up in direct light. It's a very cute and girly shade! This was 3 coats as I had trouble getting full coverage with 2 coats. This would be an awesome spring shade! I can't wait to use this baby in some nail art!
Here's a comparison of the new bottles. The new bottles are easier to hold and grip to paint evenly and precisely! And who can complain about an extra 3ml a bottle? (Not me!)
All Color & Go polishes are Big 3 Free and have a professional patented brush that distributes color with amazing accuracy!
They have a huge range of colors from brights to classics! You can purchase Essence at ULTA, HEB & Fred Meyer in the States for only $1.99!
You can also purchase Essence Cosmetics in Canada at Shopper's Drug Mart & Pharmaprix!
